Get into the festive spirit as the town comes alive with the Candlelit Dartmouth Festival, a candlelit procession which sees most of the town carrying hand made lanterns and the arrival of Father Christmas by boat. A really really special weekend thats sure to put you in the mood.

This tasting event will certainly be a great opportunity to stock up on your wine for Christmas. You will be encouraged to try them all first which not only ensures that you take home the wine you like, but is also lots of fun! You are promised a bit of festive fun and of course there's lots of knowledgeable help at hand!

Aladdin will be a true treat for all the family during the Christmas holiday. The pantomime is packed with comedy, dancing, singing and flamboyant colourful costumes. Enjoy this hilarious romp watching the flying carpet and the antics of Widow Twankey, Wishee Washee and Aladdin with the beautiful Princess Luli, all set in the exotic world of China and Egypt. The pantomime stars Shaunagh Radcliffe as Aladdin and the talented singer Terri-Kate Lee as the Princess, accompanied by a cast of over 20 actors and dancers.

An all-day wine course presented by Sara Bangert from The General Wine Company, Petersfield A fantastic way to learn about wine with a friendly knowledgeable presenter. Sara is a great wine enthusiast and makes everyone feel welcome. We will cover different grape varieties, wine regions, at the same time as tasting examples from around the world. Your confidence around wine will grow leaps and bounds!

In May the annual Dart Music Festival takes over the town and for 3 days the streets come alive with the sound of music. This three day event is surely one of the greatest highlights of life in Dartmouth and is an incredible opportunity to see and hear exceptional bands and acts performing at some unusual venues across the town. Book early as this FREE event is obviously very popular!

Brixham is a really easy ferry and bus ride from Dartmouth or for those fit enough, an amazing costal walk away!

Dartmouth’s Arts & Crafts Weekend takes place in June and sees artists, sculptors, potters and other craft workers take over the Royal Avenue Gardens.

The (6th annual) KingsBeer Festival will once again be on the embankment at Kingswear and enjoys uninterrupted, panoramic views of the River Dart. We doubt there is a beer festival in the country with more beautiful views while you sample fantastic beers sourced from across the UK. We will be offering over 60 ales and ciders to choose from (plus wines and soft drinks) and there will be live music and a BBQ too! This year we are extending both the beer and food selections available.

Enjoy Dartmouth Shakespeare Week in July when local thespians, The Inn Theatre Company, put on an outdoor performance of a Shakespeare play. The Play (this years play yet to be announced - but watch this space!) is staged at the incredible landscape around Dartmouth Castle. Always fingers crossed for the weather, but this really is a fabulous and most entertaining evening

In July it’s all about crab in Dartmouth as the Rockfish Crab Party pays tribute to the cracking crustaceans that grace our shores. Join this incredible afternoon in marques set up along the Dartmouth Embankment. Book tickets in advance from Rockfish Restaurant.

For the fifth year, this unique tail-wagging, foot-stomping festival that is Woofstock UK is returning to Dartmouth again! This one day event is an amazing celebration of all things Dog! Dog shows, events, agitity, demonstration, suppliers and lots of competions for you to enter your own dog in. A great family day out with of course, beer tents, refreshments and ice cream!!

In a more light hearted style to the Dartmouth Regatta, The Dittisham Regatta involves lots of rowing races and "on the water' activities, crabbing contest, music, tug of war and general merriment in abundance! An incredibly warm hearted celebration of Dartmouth’s neighbouring and amzingly picturesque village. A truly wonderful afternoon!

The Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta labelled the ‘Best in the West’, the Royal Regatta always lives up to its reputation with superb competition and brilliant entertainment. Thousands of visitors from the region, nation and indeed the world descend on Dartmouth every August for a packed three-day programme of air sailing, sports, live music, street food, fireworks and more.

Usually tieing in with October half term, artists take centre stage for the annual Galleries Week. Previewing their latest collections during an open studio event, local galleries welcome visitors to come and explore the work on show. Enjoy a glass or two of wine and wonder through Dartmouth to find the next masterpeice for your wall!

Each year in October, the Dartmouth Food Festival celebrates local produce and food producers as well as local eateries and chefs. With live food demonstrations, master classes, food stalls, market tents and of course locally made refeshments to include, Dartmouth Gin, Dartmoor Ales, Salcombe Gin and many more this is jam packed weekend. Not to missed, its an great family filled weekend.

Dartmouth is one of the twelve towns participating in the National Mayflower Partnership and throughout the twelve months from Thanksgiving November 2019, will be commemorating the 400-year anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower to the New World, with a series of exciting events and projects, some of which will leave a lasting legacy well beyond 2020.
