Dartmouth Music Festival
Friday 10th - Sunday 12th May 2013
Dartmouth Music festival is legendary. Everywhere you turn there is music! This is a truly incredible event with bands from every musical genre and all walks of life playing at various venues across the town. This Is a FREE public festival!!!... Although it costs a small fortune to put on so please if you are coming give generously! You will need to Book now in order to secure accommodation for this amazing few days, we really can't speak highly enough of it.

Dartmouth Shakespere Week
6th - 10th August 2013
Every year The Inn Theatre Company gather together some of the South-West's most talented people and present Dartmouth Shakespeare Week. Using Dartmouth Castle as the impressive back drop for this amazing outdoor theatre production, a massive seating stadium is erected and the whole show feeds off the natural landscape, steeped in history. This is a sell out event every year, even if you’re not a big theatre enthusiast this really is a great event!

Dartmouth Royal Regatta
Wednesday 28th August- Saturday 31st August 2013
Dartmouth's annual reggata.. arguably the most exciting 4 days in the calender!
There really is something for everyone and all ages are entertained.

Agatha Christie Festival
15th-22th September 2013
Each September, the English Riviera transforms itself into the murder mystery capital of the country, with ladies and gents in their period finery immersing themselves in tea parties, theatre, dinners on steam trains and vintage bus tours. Why? For the annual Agatha Christie Festival in honour of the Queen of Crime, who held a residence on the banks of the river Dart which is now an open local attraction.
From Dartmouth you can enjoy boat trips to and from the house as well as boat or steam train rides to Torbay where many of the events are taking place. For more info visit Agatha Christie
Dartmouth Food Festival
25th -27th October 2013
Dartmouth's annual Food Festival celebrates everything that is local produce. You can taste, mostly for FREE, everything from locally grown oysters to wines and menus from celebraty chefs. This is an incredible few days and we can proudly say Dartmouth has lots to show off about, so make sure you arrive hungry!

Candlelit Dartmouth
6th - 7th December 2013
Dartmouth gets festive! Every year Dartmouth celebrates the christmas lights switch on with a candle lit procession with home made lanterns and even a visit from santa... provided you've been good girls and boys. The celebrations continue with markets and music and of course roasted chesnuts. Shops will be open late and there is a great community feel about the place. Of course it's a great excuse to do all your christmas shopping in one place with indpendant retailers selling gifts you find on the high street.

New Years Eve 2014 !

Dartmouth Comedy Festival 2013
5th - 9th March 2014
Granted, i haven't been to other comedy festivals and i'm sure we aren't in the same league as Edinburgh! However there is always a great line up of big name comedians from the UK comedy circuit… Difference is, here you get to see them in much more intimate venues without the big ticket prices! Check out the Comedy Festival website run and organized by the Flavel Centre Warning: this is very popular and events do sell out. BOOK ASAP to ensure your seat!
